Candidate Connect is a Cape Town-based, founder-led executive search firm focused on senior leadership appointments where talent is scarce, discretion matters and hiring decisions carry meaningful business impact. Our work is hands-on and research-led. We map the market from broad to narrow across relevant sectors, target companies and individuals, then engage selected senior profiles discreetly and professionally. Because the work is founder-led, mandate context, key nuances and candidate feedback are carried from the initial briefing through talent mapping, candidate engagement and process conclusion. Established in 2000, Candidate Connect has completed around 1,000 placements, with Mike Chemaly operationally involved in approximately 80% of these.

Our history
Candidate Connect was established in Cape Town in 2000 and has supported South African clients and candidates for more than 25 years.
The Business began
With a focus on connecting South African professionals abroad with opportunities back home. It quickly evolved into a full-service recruitment consultancy, partnering directly with clients across Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and other major centres.Over time
